Disconnecting the IO Port Net

Hello folks!

I'm working on a block level design. How do I disconnect an IO port to the net which it is connecting to? Below is the situation:

IO port name: test1

test1 connects to net_x

addNet net_y

I need to disconnect test1 from net_x and connect it to net_y.

attachTerm/detachTerm works only for instance pins/nets but not for IO pins.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

did you try the -port option of attachTerm? see the docs for detachTerm, regarding detaching a port and why it's not allowed.
