How to set different max transition for the different sub modules in design.

hi,

i want to use set_max_transition to set transition for my design.
but my design hierarchy 

top_design --> 16 slavecontroller -->syn_decoder, level gen, counter
now i want to set max_trans for syn_decoder and counter of 0.3 and for rest of the design as 0.7 how can i do this ?

pls if you can provide me quick help on this.

  • In Mag file of set_max_trasisiton it was specifed that we can set it for modules:

    Description:     

    Sets  the  maximum  slew time limit (transition) on the specified instance pin, ports of the top cell, the specified mod-
           ules, and/or clock waveforms.

    But the object list does not allowing hInst (modules) .

    innovus 24> set_max_transition 0.7  U_ble_tc_core/i_img_aon_orca_top     
    **ERROR: (TCLCMD-917):  Cannot find 'ports, pins, designs, clocks or library cell pins' that match 'U_ble_tc_core/i_img_aon_orca_top'

    <object_list>          # List of objects: ports, instance pins, library cell pins, clocks or current_design (string, required)

    So I think  there is no provision for requirement .
