Stylus flowtool

Hi,

I wanted to open a discussion on the stylus flowtool. My purpose is to see if there are users out there who are having success with the tool. To have some discussions around issues that I am running into and to get a user point of view on the problems I am trying to solve.

Let's start the conversation with : Is there anyone out there trying to use flowtool? Do you have a centralized flow, or each user has their own?

I just started using flowtool primarily for Genus and Innovus flows. Looks very power but it is highly design database centric, lots of db calls so you need a good understanding of the available APIs. Two things that may help you debug is that you can use -ide to have a outline view of your flows. - interactive will also help you trace problems. I'll post here if I find any additional useful information.

Is the flowtool bin Tool dependence?

Genus has one and Innovus has one... which one is the right one?

We have started using flowtool for Innovus (was Foundation flow before).

However for Tempus I just converted my existing scripts over to stylus(cui). Using convert_legacy_to_common_ui and eval_legacy {}.
Main reason was I had C/DMMMC options setup in my scripts and it wasn't the easiest to do.
Also converting commands and getting flowtool working would have been tricky, and the dist.py was not SGE grid yet.

I imagine will give it another try at some point.

Hi I have also started using flowtool for Genus and Innovus. However I am stuck at defining the rc_tech_lef_file_map in innovus_config.tcl. Which file is the tool expecting here?
Where do I get this map file?
