VERIFY GEOMETRY COMMAND IN INNOVUS

Hi All,

I get four violations in wiring (shorts) in the sign off stage of pnr. When I run the drc on the generated layout it comes out to be clean.

I have a few queries:

1. How do I check which nets are short?

2. How do I fix these violations?

3. If drc is clean (I run drc on generated layout using calibre), should I be worried about the functionality of my design?

    About 1)

You sould be able to investigate DRC violations with the violation browser, which can be innvoked in the GUI by clicking Tools -> Violation Browser.

Alternatively, you can write out a report file with detailed information about DRC violations. Here is an example:

    verify_drc -check_short_only -report myReport.txt

    About 2)

Only you can tell. Check what the tool is complaining about and decide whether or not actions have to be made.

    About 3)

Hard to tell. Depends on what kind of error you find once you investigate the DRC violations as suggested in (1).
