 Hi ,

I have written an environ ment for my DUT and some testcases and they are working fine, each and every time i am loading testcase and running it seems to be some what not  sophisticated , i want to make it automated so that a novice person can sit and run and see the results can report it. I am using 4.3.1 version. Can any one tell me how to do that .

Thanks in advance,

regards,

    Hello Krishna,

There are many ways to automate your environment with such public domain programs such as Perl or with more sophisticated programs such as Cadence Enterprise Manager which will automate the launching of your verification runs with the multiple tests and collect coverage and generate reports. I would suggest consulting with your local AE unless you have more specific questions.

     Thank you Tim,

Cadence Enterprise Manager which you are referring to is an integrated tool or a seperate package? can it be used along with my version (4.3.1) ?  is there any evaluation version of that one is available to estimate the performance??

    regards,

    Krishna Kishore

Enterprise Manager is a separate product but a smaller version (Desktop Manager) is included with IES-XL.

When you refer to version 4.3.1, what tool are you referencing?

The tool I am referring is Specman 4.3.1.

That version is quite old. The latest version is 8.2 and it comes with documentation on creating an OVM-e environment. This might give you some insight into an automated environment. Specman 8.2 is also part of IES-XL which includes the Desktop Manager. Again, I would suggest giving your local AE a call and see about getting the latest version as well as some advice on setting up the environment.
