vr_ad documentation

Can anyone help me find documentation about how to use the vr_ad register modeling package with Specman?

I've used the package before so I'm not so much interested in how the package is used to model registers.

I'm interested in understanding the mechanics of how to include the package, where it's located/installed, etc.  I think this has changed since we last used it.  Someone told me that they think that maybe it's more integrated in the newer version of Specman than it used to be.

 Thanks.

    Hi Walker.

vr_ad itself is supplied now as part of the IPCM or KITSOCV packages. Inside these you will find a PDF version of the documentation with the name <install_dir>/doc/ipcm_utilities/ipcm_utilities.pdf.

When I have to integrate vr_ad, I tend to skip the docs and go straight to the worked examples in vr_ad/examples/*.e.
These give a pretty clear idea of the code structure that you'll need to implement.

    Steve.
