OVM: passing items from pre_do() to body()

Can anyone explain me how to bring data items that were collected in pre_do() (from higher_layer) and pass the same as a constraint to the body() tasks ovm_do() function. I found that the data item is null in body() before the ovm_do() . I need the actual value collected at pre_do() to be valid before ovm_do(). Is there any other right way to do this ? Thanks in advance, mmk
