Vexp source causes Allegro to crash

Problem first occurred in Feb. 2009.  No resolution from Cadence or local

Admin.  If you place a Vexp source on a schematic, connect it, define its'

parameters and start to run the simulation you get a crash that closes

the schematic tool (Allegro HDL).  Cadence sent a model library that included

Vexp and when it is in the local library no problem exists.  Running 16.2 but

same issue existed with 15.7.  In one Vexp dir. there is both an VHDL and Verilog

file.  The one that fails has only the Verilog file.  Need to figure out what files

are being accessed when crash occurs.  The message you get asks if you want

to zip the project and send it to Cadence.  Did this in Feb. 2009 and was told

they could duplicate the problem and it would disappear in 16.2.  It didn't and

I'm still looking for a solution.  I don't have admin privileges so I can't substitute

the files that Cadence sent in their archive.  I'm assuming there is a corrupt file

in the Vexp directory but not sure.  Any ideas?

Thanks,

Fred
