Hi,

Does IUS8106 version supports system verilog code or syntax ? I am using -sv switch with ncverilog command but still it gives me license error when I use any system verilog syntax or code. This version works fine with verilog code.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Nirmit

    Hi Mirmit.

If you want to use SystemVerilog, I would urge you to use a more up to date version. Version 8.1 is incredibly old now and had relatively little SV support. Cadence doesn't even support 8.1 any more. The latest version is INCISIVE 10.2 and this has very good SV support.

You mention a licence error, so I would advise you to check which licences you have installed at your company. Some of the older or cheaper product licences do not enable SV testbench support. If you want help understanding what licences you currently have and what is supported by those licences, I recommend that you register yourself on http://support.cadence.com/ and file a service request, so that a Cadence apps engineer can assist you one-to-one.

    Regards,
    Steve.
