Configuration File Error

Hi,

 I am a relative newcome to the Cadence software but have been running into problems when running circuits on my home computer. Namely, all diodes return an rror message such as 'Diode D1N4148 is undefined'.

 

I have identified that the nom.lib is not present in the configuration files that are within 'Simulation settings'. However when i add this file, or any other .lib file, and 'add as global' they  appear in the configuration files list but are instantly deleted once i 'apply, ok' them.

 

I suspect this is a common issue but i have thus far been unable to solve this issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Indeed, i should have mentioned im running the Demo version on the laptop. Adding the diode.lib with the 'add to design' button was succesful. Although 'add as global' also seems prohibited in this version. It's a shame the Demo version is so heavily restricted.
