Seeding $urandom_range

I am confusing how to give seed value to $urandom_range();

I can understand, by looking over LRM, as for $urandom(), seed value can be given as:

 -----------------------------------

int seed_value;

$value$plusargs("SEED_VAL=%d", "seed_value");
$urandom(seed_value);

-----------------------------------

Once again, to give a seed  value to $urandom_range,

- $urandom(seed_value) preceding a call of $urandom_range  functions also as for $urandom_range()?

- srandom should be used??

In relation to this question,

Is it correct -sv_seed simulator option makes no sense when all of the threads containing random function are seeded explicitly?

Thnak you, in advance, for your help.
