Blank screen emanager

I'm getting a blank screen when I start emanager.

The console works fine, but the Incisive Enterprise Manager looks like this:

I ran into this issue (gray screen on opening of the program) when using a tiling window manager. It looks like you're using Gnome, which implies that you likely have problems distinct from mine. That said, you could try:
    (1) export AWT_TOOLKIT=MToolkit
    (2) _JAVA_AWT_WM_NONREPARENTING=1; export _JAVA_AWT_WM_NONREPARENTING
    (3) using a program such as wmname to force the root window to have a certain name
