Analyse the Functional Coverage of list of failing test case.

Vmanager unlike IMC/ICCR automatically excludes the coverage data of the failing test case, and help us analyse the functionally correct hits in coverage.

But we can leverage use of functional coverage to get the summary of the failures in regression if

"We can analyse funcational and/or Stimulus coverage of list of only failing test cases"

Can anyone le me know how to do this with Vmanager?

Hi Sumeet. That's an interesting idea. The easiest way to do this would be to write a simple vAPI script to call the /reports/generate-report-unique endpoint to find which bins are uniquely hit in the failing cases. Whether it really produces useful data is to be seen... :) When submitting the request to the server, you'd use the rs1 to select failing runs from session, and rs2 to select the passing runs, and set the oneWay attribute to true so that it only shows you bins that are unique to the failing runs.

Thank you Stephen.

Your solution is meant for Client Server Vmanager which I am yet to migrate.

Also wanted to avoid additional scripting and was hoping to get a solution in GUI mode only.

Luckily I found the solution Meanwhile. Have a look below.

Ah, OK. If you're using Enterprise Manager, then there is no simple way to get a report of unique cover hits for any tests, but you can set the configuration to show coverage for failing tests in the GUI and in reports. Really you need to look at moving away from Enterprise Manager though, the last feature release was 15.20.
