Simvision Changes the Trace type of some signals on reinvoke

I am using SimVision 15.20-s024.

I have a set of signals which are of type real that I am looking at in simvision. In my simvision session, I set the trace type to "Digital" since the default "Analog/Linear" format is not as useful and very space consuming.

If I reinvoke the simulator, the trace types of any real-type values snaps back to the undesired default of "Analog/Linear". This is very annoying because I have to scroll through and gather up a bunch of signals and change the trace type back manually every time I reinvoke. I would be happy if I could set the default trace type for all signals to be "Digital". So, I took to the preferences. Under "Waveform Window", I see a default radix option, but no default trace type option. Under "Waveform Window"->"Analog" there is a choice of format between Linear interpolation and sample/hold, but why is digital not offered?

Did I miss something in the settings? What can I do so that upon reinvoke, the simvision environment doesn't undo the choices I explicitly made?

    Hi,

I was not able to reproduce the issue you are seeing with "Simulation->Reinvoke Simulator..." not keeping the formatting of the analog signals.

However, I do have a SimVision extension script available that can default the analog signals to be displayed in digital format.

Please contact your Cadence support AE to access it, as I am not able to post it to this site.

    Thanks.
