VManager : Increase and Decrease the number of parallel runs in the on-going running sessions.

While firing a regression that might span multiple working days, We need to increase and decrease the number of parallel runs to distribute license usages.

During working day hours, we would like to reduce the number of parallel runs and during nightly hours we should increase the parallel run.

vManager cannot do this dynamically, it's a task that is typically handled by the compute infrastructure like LSF.

Through vAPI, the "max_runs_in_parallel" property of a running session can be modified. Schedule a script at a specific time you want to change

Each session in vManager has a property "MAX RUNS IN PARALLEL" which limits number of parallel runs. You can change this property by right click on the session, select "Edit each".

Besides vManager client (GUI), user can interact with vManager via vAPI, scripting interface. So you can make a script to modify that field at day/night time. Your local AE may give some examples

Thank Hao Lu, I will take further Help from local AE.

Kindly confirm if both the GUI and vAPI method can be used to change the variable multiple times  "MAX RUNS IN PARALLEL" in a running session.

So far as I'm aware, modifying the tool's configuration doesn't impact any existing running sessions, nor does it override the explicit setting in a given VSIF, the tool's configuration is just a default to be used in lieu of anything being specified in the VSIF.
