Fresh Incisive installation using IScape

Hey there, newbie here. Hope you are all doing well. I'm trying to install Incisive using IScape. I have downloaded the Incisive package (contained on 4 tar files) manually (directly from the site page) and now trying to install it from IScape. But when I select the Local Directory/Media Install and then select the location where I downloaded Incisive (like /home/Downloads etc.), it gives the error

The directory selected is not a Cadence download location. Select a good Cadence download location

in case of Original GUI option in preferences and

Location:
/root/cadence/downloads
Does not seem to be a good Cadence installation directory

in case of New GUI option in preferences.

Can anybody help me solve this. I'll appreciate it.

Are you running installscape on a supported OS? It's quite challenging to figure out what might have gone wrong, based on your description above. It might be best if you could login to support.cadence.com and file a support ticket so that one of the hotline team can assist you over a shared screen.

I'm trying to run it on WSL2. But at least the download should work, shouldn't it? I know that supported OS is CentOS 7 but I was looking for a way to run it on Ubuntu type system.

We don't support Ubuntu, and I'm aware that Ubuntu is normally missing a bunch of dependencies (OS packages) that Cadence tools rely on. Sometimes you can figure these out and install them manually, but I don't have a detailed guide for that process.

Thanks for replying. I understand now. So, is there a way to close this question or should I just leave it as it is?
