IMC exception on opening .ucm from xrun coverage generation

Hello everyone,

I am currently working on the xcelium 20.09 integrated coverage online course. To generate the code coverage results, I was able to run the xrun command successfully. However, when calling imc to visualize the results with

imc -load test &,

I get the following error:

*E,DBERR: Error loading database file cov_work/scope/icc_60259c4c_00000000.ucm:
serialization exception.
*E,INVDT: Valid data file not found for run directory cov_work/scope/test. Specify a valid run directory with correct ucm, ucd files and rerun the command.

xrun version: 20.09-s011 (I also tested 18.09.004 which produces an identical result)

imc version: 15.20-s032

If you have any idea what may cause this exception, please let me know.

Best Regards

Mike

You need to use a newer IMC version, try a 20.09 or later "MDV" or "VMANAGER" installation.

The IMC from 15.20 has no idea how to load the coverage files from 20.09 (the file format has changes several times in the 6 years between these versions).
