xrun - prioritizing licenses by users

Hi,

I have a system that keeps running tests using the xrun command. The system is active during night and I'm interested it will work during the day too.

For that, I need to give prioritization of licenses to regular users over the automation user, so regular work can continue. That include also "taking" a license from the automation user during a run and returning it when the regular user is done.

Is there a flag in the xrun command which can give me this kind of function? for example, still the license and when the regular user is done bring it back to the  automation user.

If not, what other solution can I use?

Best regards,

Nir

The xrun option "-licqueue" makes Xcelium queue for a licence, but you can't manage prioritisation from the client side, you would need to configure it via the licence server settings. Have a look at the licensing FAQ here: https://support.cadence.com/apex/ArticleAttachmentPortal?id=a1O3w000009be1cEAA&pageName=ArticleContent&oMenu=People%20who%20viewed%20this%20also%20viewed

Note also that often this kind of requirement can be managed via the DRM system (LSF/SGE/NC...) because when the queuing system suspends a job, the licence gets released and you can later resume the job and queue till you get a licence back.
