Create image from vcd file

Hello!

Is there a way to convert VCD file to an image using a script for automated mixed signal simulation results?

Using Simvision I can print window and get the job done, but I would want to automate the process using a script.

Moved this into the Functional Verification Forum as somebody there may know if there's a way of doing this. There's an old enhancement request for SimVision to directly save images (CCR 83415 - maybe a Jira now), but I guess it could be done if you could use a Tcl command to print the window to PostScript and then externally convert the PostScript to a png file. I don't know (as I don't know SimVision Tcl well enough) whether there is a way of doing the Print Window from Tcl - hence moving this into a forum where there's a greater chance of somebody knowing.

You may be better off contacting customer support.

    Hi Andrew,

Indeed, there is a SimVision "waveform print" command that will output the waveforms to postscript. The documentation reference for it is here:

    https://support.cadence.com/apex/techpubDocViewerPage?path=SimVisTclCmds/SimVisTclCmds22.09/cmd_ref.html#83053

There is also a support article on using it here:

    Thanks.
