  1. I got a model in Verilog which according to the creator is only compatible with the NC-Verilog compiler. There is any free version of it or an another way to run it as Qsys component. Or is there a free way to use it as a Qsys component. To help and be able to see the model's problem, here's his link. I don't have NC-Verilog.Or is there a free way to use it as a Qsys component. What is a "Qsys component"? NC-Verilog is an old name for what has now become the Xcelium simulator, some people still use the old names.

Try compiling the Verilog with Xcelium and it should be OK.

There is no free version of Xcelium or NC-Verilog, these are commercially supported tools.
