How to Map covergroup from present regression database to a reference vPlan

Hi

I'm trying to Map Coverpoints to a new vPlan, But according my other requirement in project I had to do load reference vPlan. Now after doing reference vPlan I could able to get all the sections & covergroups, now when i'm trying to map from my current hierarchy to the same referenced vPlan, I'm not able to Map. So now how do you map vPlan elements to a referenced vPlan.

for ex: Now  I have added a section and right click -> reference a Vplan -> selecting desired Vplan -> click ok ->

Now all my Vplan items are loaded along with sections, covergroups. Now I need to add coverpoints as it is same for my project too. I need to Map all 8 instances Coverpoints. But metrics is not even getting selected. I'm trying this process for interface coverage. Please let me know your comments.

Or please let me know how does a referenced vPlan works

Thanks

This question might be easier to resolve via a screen sharing session with one of the hotline team (for which you'd need to file a support request at https://support.cadence.com/).

In general though, you need to be aware that the referenced vPlan is deliberately read-only in the context where it is being referenced. You would need to edit that vPlan in its original form and add the necessary metrics ports and mapping patterns. You can control whether they are used in the parent vPlan by adding a parameter to the child vPlan and associating that parameter with the metrics ports you're adding for your project. The following short video how-to guides might help you here:
