Tip of the Week: Reinvoke - Rerunning proof after making rtl or assertion changes

The Reinvoke capability in the GUI is very handy.  It allows you to recompile and rerun the formal analysis without having to kill the IFV gui.  Reinvoke simply reruns the IFV command line.  

You may have noticed that changes made to a .f file specified as an argument to the ifv -f command line option, are ignored when "Reinvoke" is selected from the IFV gui.  This is because the contents of a .f file are simply command line options packaged up in a file.  IFV has already saved the command line and simply re-executing this every time Reinvoke is issued.  If you make changes to the file supplied to the -f command line option you must kill the IFV session and rerun it. 

Please note that you can continue to modify files required to be compiled into your design and they will be rebuilt when clicking on Reinvoke.
