IE spell check not enabled for Mozilla?

archive
archive over 18 years ago

Sorry for this off-topic question/post. I couldn't find a generic forum where I can ask this. I prefer using Mozilla than IE. During my postings when I try "Spell Check" it says "Spell check is not available for Mozilla", does any one know if there is any plugin that I can download to fix this?

Or is it a limitation of the forum's built-in editor? - If so, how do I request for this enhancement with cdnusers.org website?

Thanks
Ajeetha, CVC

    Hi Ajeetha,

There is off-topic question, and there is off-topic answer.

One choice is to use Mozilla Firefox and install the google toolbar plugin (toolbar.google.com).

You may enable the "Spell Check" by Settings -> Options -> SpellCheck.

Any question, please let me know.

    Best regards,
    Davy

I use a Mozilla based browser too (Firefox) and it appears that the spell check feature is built-in for recent versions (2.0 and later), so there's no need for a plugin/extension anymore. It works quite well and even underlines mistakes as you type.

Ajeetha, I think the forum you're looking for is the Suggestions forum (Forums > General topics > Suggestions). The forum moderator can probably follow-up with you on this.

Thanks both, I do use Firefox 2.0, and my spell check does work in "Quote" reply, but if I click on "Reply" to a post, it stops working. Not sure why. I will try and ask in Sugegstions forum
