Does OVM methodology supports Module based SV

Hi..
       we all know that OVM is the open verification methodology introduced by both cadence & mentor by combinig URM +AVM.
        what  I know is OVM has been introduced for  class based systemverilog.

doubt:
          Does OVM supports module based systemverilog or not?

  • Though the OVM is yet to be really seen outside, I will be surprised if it doesn't. For now you can refer to AVM, it has both. We at CVC recommend it based on the amount of investment one is ready to make. Module based thing gets you started faster, works with existing env etc. Infact we submitted a CDNLive India paper for this year based on a SPI block verification project. If you are in Bangalore we can help you better face-to-face if needed. Drop me an email ajeetha <> gmail.com if interested.

    BTW - adopting a class based methodology your returns are lot higher and if done carefully it can co-exist peacefully with rest of your TB being module based. It may boil down to your tool support for constructs as well.
