ICC and eManager integration !

archive
archive over 18 years ago

Hi,

I am not able to collect code coverage information in eManager. It seems that I am not able to integrate eManager with Incisive Comprehensive Coverage (ICC) properly.
I generated the coverage model and vPlan from ncsim. I am able to view the coverage fields in eManager, but these fields never have coverage information collected and always show 0% coverage. I am sure that the code coverage information is generated in the form of .dgn file and .cov files. On loading the .cov files in 'iccr', i can see the code coverage results. But I am not able to see them in vManager/eManager.

Can someone assist me so that I can view the Code coverage results in eManager.
I am using Specman ver. 6.0, IUS ver. 6.1 and eManager ver. 2.0.3.

Thanks and Regards,
Nilay Goyal

    Hello Nilay.

    Can you file a Cadence service request for this please?
    Use either http://sourcelink.cadence.com/ or email support@cadence.com, or call your AE.
    This will let us react most efficiently to help you.

    I'm sure it'll be easy to fix, but trying to discuss it via a mailing list is a bit time consuming!

    Thanks.
    Steve.

    That said, an obvious thing to check is that you have used the vm_icc.flt filter on your scan script!

    Check your VSIF file, and compare against the tutorial from:
    /doc/iccvmgrtut/examples/verilog/*.vsif

    The scan_script should be something like:
    scan_script: "vm_scan_default.pl ${VMANAGER_HOME}/bin/ius_hdl.flt ${VMANAGER_HOME}/bin/vm_icc.flt";

    If not, vManager won't know where to find the ICC coverage files.

    Hi Nilay,

    Try quitting eManager, then do the following and launch eManager again:

    setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH `ncroot`/tools/vmgr/icc_adapter/lib:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}

    If that doesn't work please contact Cadence support at http://sourcelink.cadence.com

    Hope that helps,
    Dean

    Hello Steve,

    The solution that you provided works !!
    I had not provided proper filter file in the scan script. I added the vm_icc.flt filter file and it worked.

    Thanks a bunch for your help.

    Best Regards,
    Nilay Goyal
