RTL Compiler: is there a timing path between 2 FF?

Hi,

I'm interested to know if there is an arc between 2 FF without using report timing (time consuming)

I have the from and to points and just need to know if there is a path between them.

thanks.

    Hi magic,

    I think, something like this should work:

    foreach start [fanin -start YOUR-END-POINT] {[if {YOUR-START-POINT eq $start} {puts "Path exists"}]}

    YOUR-START-POINT has to be in RC-style, i.e. /designs/top/insta... (or you put a "[find /designs -pin YOUR-START-POINT]" instead)

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Johannes

    I believe you will need to use fanin –struct as the standard –fanin command is timing path based (I think).
