Design Compiler commands to RTL command Conversion

Hi,

 Is there any way to find the quivalent RTL commands for Design Compiler commands??Is there any way to convert a Design compiler script to an RTL Compiler scripts ?

     Hi Electronic Guy,

     you should be careful about literal translation of scripts. Just because equivalent commands exist in both tools, it does not always mean that such is the best approach. You should always bear in mind that DC and RC are different tools with different (substantially) optimization technology and different strengths and weaknesses. The preferred approach for new RC users is to start with the output of write_template and applicable options of such command. It accomplishes to key objectives for the user:

    + start with an R&D endorsed flow

    + learn the recommended usage in the process

    Frequently translation exercises get caught in the translation without thinking if it is even necessary in the tool.
