report lower hierarchy level

Hi All, How can I report information on a lower levels ? for example if I have a top level that contain blk_a & blk_b top | -->blk_a | -->blk_b when I report all des seq I recieve all the flip flop under the top include regsiters under blk_a & blk_b. how can I receive only the flop under blk_a or blk_b ? Thanks Mattan

    Hi Mattan,

    their are many ways to skin these cat. I usually use a combination of the filter and find commands to do a lot of this type things:

    filter flop true [find [find / -inst ] -inst *]

    However, many of the commands in RC have options to specify a lower level of hierarchy. Last but not least, you can do a derive_env of a particular instance and then do all your work on the derived_env design
