libraries in RTL compiler..

archive
archive over 18 years ago

hi all....

small doubt about how RTL compiler handles libraries..

with pks, we can read both best case and worst case libraries

read_dotlib [-min filename] [-typ filename] [-max filename] [-name merged_filename]

in RTL compiler.. how can we do this...
there is no min and max option with the following attribute...

set_attribute library /

thanks..
Pradeep

well the reason is, RC does only setup optimization. Physical synthesis is usually not needed as RC uses the ple mode.
holdtime fixing makes sense after CTS, which can be done by the BE tools after CTS.
therefore there is no need of min libraries during logical synthesis.
