Bottom_up optimization in BuildGates

archive
archive over 17 years ago

Hello All, I am going to synthesis a 10M-gate design, and "Ambit BuildGates Synthesis User Guide" recommends a bottom-up optimization which is in two steps: 1-optimization of bottom level cells 2-optimization of higher levels without modifying the bottom level. in which following commands are recommended by the "User Guide" (page 168, sep 2000, ver. 4): *1> do_build_generic *2> do_derive_context or do_detime_budget *3> do_uniquely_instantiate *4> set_dont_modify *5> do_optimize My Question is: Do above commands perform both two steps of optimizations? is anything missed there? Can someone help me please? Thanks, Ali
