How to trace flops with constant inputs in Conformal?

archive
archive over 17 years ago

I used the following setup to compare old and new designs (netlist level). set flatten model -seq_constant -seq_constant_x_to 0 There was a flop I manually added in the new netlist. However, formal showed the input is constant '1'. I wanted to find out how Conformal got to it. What would be the best way to do it? Is there a way I can open up the schematic, etc and see what happened in the tool?

    Hi cosifan

I would open the schematic from the hierarchy browser in the main GUI. This one shows the design, pre-modeling, pre-flattening. Find the flop in question and then use 'trace driver' to see what's driving it. You may have to go through several levels of logic however.
