How to Synthesize Buffer Chain?

Kraj
Kraj over 8 years ago

I want to implement 6 buffer delay in my design and I am writing set_dont_touch  i _delay_1 true command where i_delay_1 is instance name but it gives an error like cannot preserve unmapped or partially mapped design, first synthesize with mapping

You cannot dont_touch an element that has not been mapped. Otherwise, it would be unmanufacturable. You need to instantiate the library buffers you want and dont_touch or add them through ECO type operation (edit_netlist . . .) after synthesis

    hope this helps,
