Genus - Hierarchy

Stratis

Hi,

I am building my circuit which involves a top level and several sub-modules.

I am interested in details about these sub-modules, but after the synthesis (syn_generic), the hierarchy is lost and I can't access these sub-modules any more.

Any ideas?

Thanks

    Hi Stratis,
Genus performs automatic ungrouping to improve area and timing during synthesis. You can switch off this behavior globally with the auto_ungroup root attribute, but this can affect your QoR.
To disable ungrouping only for selected hierarchical instances (hinsts), you can set the attribute ungroup_ok to false on these hinsts.
