cadence running slow in ubuntu

Dear Team,

I am running cadence in Ubuntu 12.04 32bit. While initialising/invoking any cadence GUI, it is taking relatively too much time(>10-20 sec). When it is running .cxt extention, it is taking time. Can you please tell me how can i solve this problem? Please find attached CDS log for your reference.

 Regards,

Darshak

    Darshak,

First of all, Ubuntu is not a supported OS. But that said, I don't see why it should be slow. I can't see anything in your log file which indicates slowness or a problem, except for the fact that the Mentor Calibre interface seems to have been loaded multiple times - there are lots of "redefined function" messages.

If you run "virtuoso -nocdsinit" does it run more quickly then?

I think contacting customer support would be the best option - there's not really enough information to work on here.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
