Plot Ids against model parameters (Vth-threshold)

Hi,

My aim is to have a plot of Vt(threshold) - Yaxis against the range of temperatures- Xaxis ( to see behaviour of vth for various temperatures) over constant different Vgs or Vds

I know exactly how to do it through reading the posts which are very helpful but since I am new to cadence so just have navigation problems.

The transistor and the connections are ready and I have already plotted Ids VS (Vgs and Vds) with temperature corners,

Through posts I have learned that I have to,

1)  create an include file (e.g. save.scs)  with contents 'save M1:vth'   --> Can anyone please tell the navigation and how to do that?

2)   reference this file from Setup->Model Libraries or Setup->Simulation Files  --> Can anyone please tell the navigation and how to do that ?

3) To see parameter from the Results browser after your dc sweep   ( I can do this one)

Can anyone please tell me how can I do that ? It would be appreciated,

Thanking in anticipation,

    Hi,

I know the answer to 2) also now,

Can anyone please let me know just how to create an include file (e.g. save.scs) and have the contents 'save M1:vth'  saved on it ?

     Thank you,

    Regards,

You need to use a text editor (e.g. vi, emacs, nedit, gedit etc) in UNIX to create a file with these contents. Not hard... (pretty obvious I thought from your summary of the numerous posts on this).

    Thanks Andrew, :)

Pretty much straight forward it was. My naiveness was the result of my unfamiliarity with the UNIX environment,

    Regards,

    Syed
