Cross function

analogy
analogy over 10 years ago

cross(deriv(IDC("M1/D"))) ymax(deriv(IDC("M1/D"))) 1 "either" nil nil)

i.e.  cross(deriv(some current))) ymax(deriv(some current))) 1 "either" nil nil)

The plot is for derivative of current (y-axis) vs some voltage (x-axis).The idea is to find voltage  at which current in maximum.

Can this be evaluated ?

Rather than using cross and ymax, use xmax instead:

    xmax(deriv(some_current))

Oh, I will check that out.By the way, what's the path for accessing Cadence Tutorials / Calculator functions ?

I know one would be /apps/cadence/ICxxx/doc/  , but somehow I didn't find any good tutotrials or docs manifesting calculator functions.

Look in the ViVA XL User Guide (vivaxlug/vivaxlug.pdf) or the OCEAN Reference (oceanref/oceanref.pdf) or just search in cdnshelp.

The functions are covered in an appendix (Appendix B in the IC616 manual) of the ViVA XL User Guide - note that the first section of the appendix covers the "MDL" mode functions rather than SKILL mode, so skip to the bit where it starts "Spectre RF Functions", plus the "Special Functions" etc - the rest of the chapter.

    Andrew.
