mmsim license locked up with no simulation run

An mmsim license is locked up  with no simulation run. The issue happens recursively and using lmremove to release the license doesn't solve the issue as the it will reappear again after some time.

Could somebody provide some advice?

  • There are some non-simulation programs that can check out an MMSIM token - the only one of these I can think of which is likely to be longer term is the spectre toolbox for Matlab which stays checked out from when you first use it in Matlab until Matlab exits - this includes usage in Matlab measurements in ADE XL. Check the lmstat output and see who has got the license checked out and on what machine. I've not seen any cases of licenses being kept after the process consuming them has exited. Regards, Andrew
