what kind of plot I need to have to show a ring vco satisfy the barkhausen criterion of stability... I want to show using some graph plot in virtuoso that a ring vco is stable enough for a frequency....kindly help me..

You can do this with a pstb analysis (I think). You can set up a PSS analysis for the oscillator, and then run pstb analysis pointing to an iprobe (or zero volt source) which is in the feedback loop of the oscillator. You'll then be able to plot the small-signal loop gain of the oscillator.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
