Hi all,,,

I'm new in cadence environment, and started with simulating circuit in schematic view, in this circuit I have a dependent current which I have its script has been written by spice as subcircuit. so my questin is how can I connet this dependent current source with its script in cadence spectre and this script calculate the current source as expression inside the subcircuit .

I hope my question is clear

Thanks a lot for your help

Your question makes no sense to me. Maybe you're asking about this:

Thanks Andrew, actually I asked here about the creating a symbol is it ok if I choose any symbol from analog lib. and change its CDF or I should put the same component which described in the subcircuit such as resistors or capacitances , etc.

You can do what you like - the symbol you use can be one from analogLib, or one you create yourself (e.g. using Create->CellView->From Pin List) - and then define the CDF to map to the external subckt model.

There's nothing particularly special about the symbols - they're a graphical representation with a set of pins, and then you use the CDF to map pins and parameters to those in the external subckt representation, as described in Tawna's blog.

    Andrew.
