Cannot use input vector as stimuli when performing AMS simulation with irun.

For simulating without using irun, I could specify the input vector in the ADE simulation files setup. It could run correctly.

However, if I run AMS simulation, that is, to use the config and irun to run spectre/functional mixed simulation, and specify the input vector in the ADE simulation files setup, then the simulation could be run but the results seem to be not correct. The run log has no errors about the input vector, and I also could open the simulation results for viewing the waveform, but the waveform is not correct. At least, the input pin's signals are not same as in the input vector file.

So, I am not sure whether it could not work correctly. Anyone who knows about this?

Thanks.

If I remember correctly, you can only use the vector file input for analog nodes in an AMS simulation. It can't be used on digital inputs (this certainly used to be the case and there was a CCR (513270) to address this - and I don't believe it's been fixed). This is because the capability comes from spectre or UltraSim, and not from ncsim.

Are your vector inputs connected to analog or digital nets?

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

Yes. The input vector is passed into a digital block as stimuli first, even though it is followed by the analog part.

I have just tried to pass the input vector to an analog part first, then followed by an digital part, and then other blocks, it did work correctly!

    Really appreciate that! Thank you.
