VHDL-AMS VIEW LIST in ADE

Hello,

I have an issue when I try to simulate a component model wrote in VHDL-AMS.(I have a symbol, entity and behavioral view)

In fact, I have the following error:

ERROR (OSSHNL-116): Unable to descend into any of the views defined in the view list, 'SimResStd SimResAcc1 SimBipStd SimCapaStd SimCapaAcc1 SimCapaAcc2 SimBipAcc1 eldo eldoD transistor_level auCmos_sch cmos_sch cmos.sch ads_schematic schematic auGate_sch auGate.sch gate_sch gate.sch extracted verilogAe eldoVerilog admsVerilog

I know that I need to configure the switch view list, but I do not know what should be the expressions needed in "switch view list" and "stop view list" for VHDL-AMS in eldoD simulator.

I am using  IC6.1.5-64b.500.17 version and INCISIV_13.20_026

Many thanks

Your question is a bit confusing. You're talking about eldoD which is an analog simulator from Mentor Graphics, which doesn't handle VHDL-AMS. If you were using VHDL-AMS with Mentor simulators, it would be AdvanceMS that you're using. However, you mention the INCISIV release which is the Cadence digital and mixed signal simulator release - so that implies you might be using "ams" as the simulator choice in ADE.

If your VHDL-AMS architecture is called "behavioral" then I would expect that in the switch view list.

However, you need to be aware that the views need to be created with the right simulator in mind - there's not complete compatibility in the view setup for AdvanceMS and Cadence's AMS Designer. If it's AdvanceMS you probably should talk to Mentor Graphics (I can't really give much advice on that, since it's not a Cadence tool and I don't have access to it). If it's AMS Designer, then we can help - but you might be better off talking to customer support so that we can understand your data setup more clearly.

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.

Thanks Andrew for tour reply! You are right, my question was a bit confusing!

Actually I am using  AMS simulator with a "config" view to simulate my component & schematic. The view list is correct and integrate the "behavioral view".

Now to simulate my circuit, the netlisting,  compiling and elaborating part are done successfully but I have an error message  when simulating (Unable to load dynamic library: libfmi.)

Below is my simulation log file:

Do you have any idea about this error?

Also, I am wondering if it's normal in my ADE, I have AMS simulator in "batch mode"

    Kind Regards,

This sounds as if you're trying to load some FMI (Foreign Model Interface) code from some other tool and your $LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not pointing at the directory containing libfmi.so .

Since I have no idea what you're doing, I suggest you might be better off contacting customer support so that we can look at your data.

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew
