ADEXL: view signal waveforms in Viva with pss

Hello,

I'm using ADEXL with Virtuoso 6.1.6.HF130 and I have some problems with the waveform visualisation after a pss.

If I select a signal for a pss test (by clicking on the corresponding node on the schematic), I'm not able to plot it by clicking the icons on the adexl result window. The only way to see it is by opening the result browser and dragging the signal into the viva window. This is very uncomfortable.

Alternatively I managed to plot the signal by treat it as an expression (for example vtime('pss  "/out")), but then after the simulation each expression is plotted in a different subwindow (even if I select Append) and I can't superimpose the waveforms.

I don't have this problem with other type of analysis (i tried with tran and ac). I then switched back to ADEL and I manage to plot my signals correctly.

Do you have the same problem?

Thanks!

If you add a signal to the outputs with ADE L or XL, it only plots AC, DC (sweep), and TRAN results for that signal. With PSS there are so many different ways that the signal could be plotted (time domain, frequency domain and so on) that there would be no single "right" thing to do.

So for these you need to add an output which is an expression, and then plot that. Commonly what I do is use the Direct Plot form and then use the "add to outputs" button for anything from RF analyses that I wish to plot.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
