LSW thumb rule for various technologies

Hi, after working with both AMS35 and UMC130nm design kit technologies in Cadence, I was wondering if there is a document that states the thumb rule of the layers to choose in LSW (Layer Selection Window) in Virtuoso Layout Design Suite for all technologies. For example, if I use AMS, I should use pin with only this layer. Similarly, if I use label, I should only this layer. This information is completely technology dependent, but interesting & I am looking for this info for all the available technologies (a complete database). It can be individual document or a comparison chart. Anything/Any info you have to tell or share, kindly let me know.

Thanks in advance.

You're kidding, right? Have you any idea how many technologies exist with design kits for Virtuoso? Maintaining a "complete database" for the specific information you want would not only be impossible to maintain (given that the foundries themselves are responsible in the most part for building the design kits, and the huge number of technologies that exist) but potentially would require sharing of IP that the foundries are not willing to share in public.

So you need to ask these questions specifically to the technology provider, assuming it's not already in their PDK documentation.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
