MOSFET connections in parallel

Hey,

I am trying to connect 8 parallel MOSFETS in series with 32 parallel MOSFETS. I use <1:8> and <1:32> for both the MOSFETS. But could n't able to connect because of mismatch of number of pins. But I assume that 8 MOSFETS connected in parallel has a common gate pin taken out and then it is connected to the common source pin taken from parallel connected 32 pins. Is this feasible in cadence without error?

thanks in advance.

First of all, you'd be better off using "m" rather than using iterated instances to put them in parallel. That's cheaper for simulation (although APS will convert this into m-factor internally, but spectre won't).

If you really must do it this inefficient way, simply label the series node between the two devices (rather than letting it auto-name) - give it a simple "mynet" type name - no angle brackets - and that should do the trick.
