gm/Id Methodology

predator89

I want to plot gm/Id Vs Id/(W/L) as per gm/Id methodology to bias transistors properly in strong inversion.

Can anybody give me the steps to plot this in cadence spectre?

Any help will be welcommed.
Thanks in advance.

Cheers

There are numerous examples in these forums showing how to save operating points during a DC sweep, how to calculate combinations of operating point parameters, and to change the x-axis to plot one waveform versus another. In fact I'm sure an almost identical question has been asked before - so you might want to try using the little magnifying glass icon in the top right corner of the web page to search a bit.

Unfortunately I don't have the bandwidth to put together a complete worked example for you. Maybe somebody else can though, but it's best if you start doing some research yourself because (as I said) this type of question is extremely common.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
