DC operating points in hspice

hi,

For finding Ron, I tried to save 'save M4.m1:ron sigtype=dev' in saveop.scs file and upload it to model libraries setup in ADE. But I get error 'difficulty in reading input'.

I get to know that  by using PAR('1/(lx8(M4)+lx8(M3))') I can find the operating point value Ron in hspice. How to feed this command ? Should it be done like spectre in 'saveop.scs' file ? Also i would like to know to determine other operating point parameters in transient as well as DC simulation in hspice, like how we do in 'save M3.m1:all' for transient simulation.

Thanks in advance

Since you're asking about how hspice works, this is probably better asked in a Synopsys forum (since HSPICE is their simulator, and not a Cadence product).

My guess is that you'd put this in a file and include it:

    .PLOT PAR('1/lx8(M4)')

However, I have no means of being sure.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
