Getting the list of parasitic contribution of each instance after a post-layout simulation

Hey,

I am using 130nm technology. I am doing a post-layout simulation considering the parasitic-components in my layout. I can see a reasonable difference in the normal simulation Vs post-layout simulation, which mainly depends on the models of the kit. I just have a small query. After I did the post-layout simulation, I want to see the list of the parasitic components with all its values of the entire schematic. Do any one know the direction in CADENCE how to get it ??

Thanks in advance :)

You can use Launch->Plugins->Parastics and then use the Parasitics->Setup menu to set things up, and after that there are other options to probe all the parasitics for a net.

If you have done a DC simulation, then this information can be used to show the effective resistance on the net too, as well as the total capacitance - as well as the detailed info as to what the parasitics on the net are. Probing can be done from the schematic or the extracted view.

Note that this can only be done with Quantus QRC as the extractor (and historically Assura RCX or Diva) - not non-Cadence extraction tools.

By the way, there is no tool called "CADENCE" -- so I'm guessing which tools you're referring to (we have a lot of different tools...)

    Regards,

    Andrew.
