SAR ADC Output to MATLAB

growingmind

Hello,

I am designing a SAR ADC in Cadence Virtuoso/Spectre and want to export the output of the DAC to MATLAB.

Is there a way to automate this in Cadence Virtuoso - a file write block in Verilog-A ?

Is this publicly available, included in Virtuoso or available somewhere else ?

Any tutorials about this available ?

Thank you.

I'm not aware of any example that does this. My recommendation would either be to use the Spectre Toolbox for Matlab (search in cdnshelp for "Matlab" to find info) or the newer ADE Explorer/Assembler interface to Matlab which makes invoking Matlab commands within ADE Explorer/Assembler easy.

The older Spectre toolbox makes it easy to directly read simulation results into Matlab without having to go via intermediate text files.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
