schematic annotation working with config and ocean based simulation

hello experts,

Seems like I'm running into a corner case that:

1. if I run ADE with schematic as top, I can annotate the corresponding schematics correctly;

2. if I run ADE with Config based design as top (e.g., a few sub-blocks as behavioral and/or another few as transistor level), I can still annotate the corresponding schematics;

3. if I run Ocean script to simulate schematic top based design, I can still annotate the corresponding schematics correctly, by manually pointing  annotation to the simulation database

     by View -> Annotation -> Setup ... -> Simulation Data Directory [ ]

4. if I run Ocean script to simulate Config based design, I can NOT annotating schematics. my manual setting at View -> Annotation -> Setup ... -> Simulation Data Directory [ ] would be discarded after I click OK/Apply.

so my question is: how I can annotate from Ocean simulation from Config based design like ADE?

    IC6.1.7-64b.500.21

thanks a lot,

David

    It comes to my mind only after I asked clearly here. it doesn't annotate because the schematic was manually opened. The schematic should be open from corresponding Config so that the schematic and simulation database match each other to annotate.

    hello again,

    still need help on one following up question:

      once I add "InfoTimes" like 3u 5u  to Config based ADE/Ocean simulation and I see "psf/tran-000_tran_Info.info", "psf/tran-001_tran_Info.info" kind files instead "psf/finalTimeOP.info", I can annotate Transient Voltage but I'm no longer able to annotate Transient OP in schematic. Am I doing somthing wrong or should I turn on/off some switches?

    thanks,

    David

    That ought to work. Not sure what's going on here (suggest you contact customer support). Note that there's no expectation that running a simulation from OCEAN (L) should allow you to annotate the results onto the schematic. If you do it from ADE, then that should be possible.

    Andrew.
