about the setting for Quantus QRC

I want to use Quantus QRC for the Parasitic Extraction since the unito
doesn't have calibre license.

However, it seems I have something wrong with the settings, shown in the
two screen shots.

Is there anyone who has succeeded in running this process or know how to
set it?

Thanks so much!

The RuleSet needs to be set to something other than "NONE". If NONE is the only choice, then it suggests that the techRuleSets has not been set up to reference the Quantus QRC rule files.

You can look in your pvtech.lib for where the DEFINE statement for umc110aeTech is defined (this might be in an included pvtech.lib) and then under that directory you'd expect to see a techRuleSets file. This should have some entries which define an RcxSetupDir which point at the Quantus QRC technology files.

If you can't find that, you should contact the foundry or whoever you get access to the foundry from (maybe Europractice since  you appear to be at an Italian institution).

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Dear Andrew,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Actually, the RuleSet has another choice: "QRC", but even if I select this option, the result is the same, same error.

Besides, is the "Setup Dir" necessary to set?

    Thanks in advance.

The Setup Dir is set by the Technology choice, so I wouldn't expect to change this.

You should check the techRuleSets in the Setup Dir and look at the QRC entry (since that's what it shows) and see if the RcxSetupDir mentioned actually exists.

It's still probably best to work with EuroPractice support for this - they can then check the setup with you (assuming that you are indeed getting your software and foundry support via EuroPractice, which I suspect you are). Unfortunately I'm not so familiar with this specific technology so can't give you much guidance.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
